The insanity of the endless chase

We’re all chasing shadows in the neon light,
Stacking up the paper just to feel alright.
Plastic smiles and empty hands,
Buying dreams they don’t understand.
Trained to buy, trained to shop,
Keep climbing higher but we never stop.

We’re sold the lie that more is life,
But the hunger only grows inside.
How much is enough when you can’t buy peace?
We’re prisoners in this endless feast.

In the madness of this race, we run,
Where the price tag shines brighter than the sun.
We’re lost in the maze, never satisfied,
Chasing highs that’ll never provide.
In the insanity of more and more,
We’ve forgotten what we’re searching for.

They paint perfection with every ad,
Telling us we’re nothing if we don’t have.
They feed the hunger, they plant the need,
A life of luxury is how they deceive.
Trained to buy, trained to shop,
They sell us the world, and we never stop.

We’re sold the dream of shiny things,
But the emptiness is all it brings.
Can’t fill the void with what we crave,
We’re all just spending our way to the grave.
In the madness of this race, we run,
Where the price tag shines brighter than the sun.
We’re lost in the maze, never satisfied,
Chasing highs that’ll never provide.

In the insanity of more and more,
We’ve forgotten what we’re searching for.
Marketing whispers, “You’re not enough,”
They make us weak and call it love.
Behind the screens, we lose our way,
Another dollar down, another soul to pay.
Trained to consume, our hearts are sold,
In a cycle that never grows old.

In the haze of greed, we stand alone,
A house full of things but never a home.
The price of freedom we can’t afford,
In the madness of consumer wars.
